The ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston, an affiliate of the ACE Mentor Program of America, introduces high school students to careers in architecture, engineering, and construction management. We welcome students from the Greater Boston area, grades 9–12. Many students return for multiple years!
2025-26 Program Details
The 2025/25 application will open in mid-summer. Please start checking this site in July for a link to the application. The program generally starts in October and runs until early March.

What is ACE? A free after-school program where students work on a hands-on design project while learning from industry professionals.
Who can join? High school students in the Greater Boston area who are interested in architecture, construction, or engineering.
Why join?

When does it take place? Once a week, after school, from October through March. Students select a meeting time that fits their schedule.
Where are the sessions held? ACE offers both in-person and virtual options. In-person meetings typically take place in:
- Boston: Fenway Neighborhood & near South Station
- Cambridge: Inman Square & Central Square
How does it work?
- In-person: Students meet at a university or industry firm to collaborate on their design project.
- Virtual: Students participate via Zoom. If access to a device is an issue, ACE will help provide one. Students also receive a supply kit.
How much does it cost? The program is completely free of charge.
Who are the mentors? ACE Mentors are professionals working in architecture, construction, and engineering. They volunteer to share their expertise and help students explore careers in the field. All mentors undergo a background screening.
