On June 4th, more than 400 sponsors, mentors, industry professionals, and supporters gathered at Artists for Humanity for the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston’s 12th Annual Networking & Fundraising Event.
Representing more than 160 companies and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, and trades industries, attendees came together to celebrate another successful year of ACE Greater Boston while raising critical support for the organization’s free after-school mentoring program.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, the event raised nearly $540,000 to support student mentoring, scholarships, internships, career exploration opportunities, and year-round programming.
A special highlight of the evening was the recognition of the late Mike Tecci, a mentor, board member, past president, and one of the founding forces behind ACE Greater Boston. In honor of his extraordinary contributions and nearly two decades of service to the organization, ACE Greater Boston established the annual Mike Tecci Mentor of the Year Award. The inaugural award was presented to Yordy Tesfaye, Project Manager at Shawmut Design and Construction, ACE alumna, and current mentor, in recognition of her outstanding commitment to mentoring students and exemplifying the spirit of service and dedication that Mike brought to ACE throughout his career.
The evening also featured remarks from ACE leadership and a student perspective from scholarship recipient Xintong Guo, a graduating senior from Boston Latin School, who shared how ACE helped shape her educational and career aspirations while providing valuable exposure to careers in architecture, engineering, and construction.
The success of this year’s event was made possible through the continued support of sponsors, mentors, volunteers, and industry leaders who are committed to investing in the next generation of architects, engineers, constructors, and trades professionals.
ACE Greater Boston extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the event and helped make this record-breaking year possible.
