A huge thank you to Suffolk Construction for welcoming our students for tours of the Northeastern University science and laboratory building site on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We started at the top of the building and worked our way down, seeing the stages of construction in real time. We learned a lot! Special shout out to ACE Mentor Mikayla Filippone, Assistant Project Manager at Suffolk, for arranging the tours.
Giving Tuesday 2021

On November 30, 2021, Giving Tuesday, National Gypsum made an amazing $35,000 donation to the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston, on the recommendation of the Portsmouth Gold Bond plant. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially Ray Houle of New England Finish, who insists on using Gold Bond products in his builds, and to Tony Visconti and James Bennett of National Gypsum. We are so grateful for your support, and we loved the tour, where we saw the product being engineered and manufactured. Wow! #givingtuesday2021 #NationalGypsum #goldbondbuildingproducts #acementor #acementorboston #mentoringmatters

Thank you to all our volunteers who helped to assembly supply packages for our students to use at home, and a huge thank you to ACE Mentor Mike Harris of National Development for hosting the day.

Our strategic plan
Adopted April 2021
In April 2021, the Board of Directors of the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston adopted a strategic plan with four major goals:
1. Fundraising: Increase fundraising for scholarships by 10% annually, while also diversifying fundraising for program operations.
2. Sustainable growth: Increase the number of students served by 10% annually. Increase mentor recruitment proportionally.
3. Alumni engagement: Re-engage alumni as mentors and on ACE committees and the Board. Offer opportunities to ACE alumni to advance their careers.
4. Board and program diversity: Increase the racial diversity of our board and mentor pool. Increase the gender diversity of our board. Build partnerships with other organizations serving BIPOC people around shared goals.
